Important Instructions for Your Local Move

• Lamps & pictures must be packed properly. You may choose to move these items yourself or have them professionally packed by Mooney’s. However they will not be transported in the moving van without being properly packaged.



• Clothing can remain in dresser drawers. Be sure to pack anything that is fragile or breakable.



• All electronics and appliances (computers, televisions, washers & dryers) must be disconnected. It is especially important to have gas dryers disconnected by professionals.



• All boxes must be sealed & have a lid. We are unable to move boxes without lids and that are not sealed with packing tape. We also discourage the use of trash/plastic bags to pack items.



• We recommend the use of standard “moving boxes.” The use of small liquor size boxes typically increases the amount of time needed to complete your move (example: 3 liquor store boxes = 1 standard large size moving box)



• Wardrobe boxes are available upon request. Notify our office prior to your move if you would like to rent these boxes. Each box will typically hold 20-25 hangers.



• Flat screen televisions: Original box & packaging is best. If you do not have the original box please make arrangements to either transport yourself or call our office to purchase a “flat screen television box.



• Flammables & liquids cannot be moved: Liquor, gasoline, paints, aerosol containers, cleaning products etc cannot be transported our trucks.
